Three Recent Reviews of Books / Textbooks Written by LW Greenberg Esq

“The Paralegal Workbook is a must have book for anyone entering the profession. It should be the required book for any introduction to paralegal studies class. It is a book that can follow a paralegal throughout their career. From my personal experience, I found that some of the chapters in the book are essential but were never covered. Some of those essentials are: writing a business letter; client contact, and understanding contracts.”

“Great book. All laws and rules are current. This book covers many family law topics. If you want information about California family law, this is the only book to buy. I know because I have purchased several other California family law books. This is the best one!”

“Got this book for personal use in custody case and it’s been a great reference to all the questions I’ve had to find answers to.”

The Foundation

LW was born and raised in San Diego, California. After graduating from high school, she began working full-time while also attending Grossmont Community College part-time. In 1980, LW married and finished her AA degree at Grossmont. She then continued her undergraduate studies at the University of California (UCSD) in San Diego. Upon graduating from UCSD, she applied and was granted admission to California Western School of Law. LW passed the California bar exam and became a licensed California attorney in 1988.

The Professor

In 2008, while still practicing law, LW Greenberg began teaching law classes at USD (University of San Diego). When Professor Greenberg began teaching, she quickly realized the importance of techniques that kept her students interested in concepts of law by using charts, summaries of popular cases and divorce forms from celebrities. Amazingly, these teaching materials were the beginnings of her first textbook.

Professor Greenberg completed the first draft of the California Family law book in early 2016. After finishing the first draft, she asked two retired California judges and a law commissioner to review the book. They were all incredibly positive about this first book. Their comments are on the JUDGE ENDORSEMENTS page.

The Author

In 2016, California legal books was created. After teaching law classes for about 8 years, Professor Greenberg self-published her first California family law textbook using a printing platform affiliated with amazon.com. Right after publication, she started using this textbook in her family law classes. The students were very pleased with the textbook. After seeing such favorable approval, Professor Greenberg began to think about writing other California legal books.

When Author Greenberg was trying to decide how her name should appear on her books, she decided to use initials and Esq. (short for Esquire.) Although many believe that Esq. stands for attorney, as did LW Greenberg Esq., Esquire can apply to other professions. A judge so stated in a 2017 California case, PEOPLE v. STARSKI (2017) 7 Cal.App.5th 215. However, since LW began her writing career with LW Greenberg Esq., it will remain a part of her name as an author forever.

As of today, Professor Greenberg has written and published more than 24 California legal books. To see these books, click here. Additionally, this author published two ethics articles in the California Law Journal. Notably, these articles follow this paragraph. Easily, just click on the article to read it.
